How many guests can Forge accommodate?
Forge can accommodate up to 26 guests across 11 bedrooms when you book the full Domaine de Forge. Alternatively, Playfair House can be booked independently for smaller groups of up to 14 guests in 7 bedrooms. Every booking is on an exclusive-use basis.
Is Forge available for exclusive use only?
Whether you book Playfair House or the full Domaine de Forge, you will have private access to all the shared facilities — the pool, sauna, games room, library, and 50 hectares of parkland.
What is the minimum stay at Forge?
We typically require a minimum stay of two nights, with weekly bookings available throughout the summer season. Please contact us to discuss your dates and requirements.
Can Forge host weddings and events?
Yes. Forge has an events barn and dining hall suitable for weddings, milestone celebrations, family reunions, and corporate retreats. We work with trusted local caterers and can assist with planning. Please contact us to discuss your event.
How far is Forge from the nearest airport or ferry port?
Forge is located near Montmorillon in the Vienne department of Nouvelle-Aquitaine. Poitiers-Biard Airport is approximately 60 kilometres away and Limoges Airport is approximately 80 kilometres away. For those driving from the UK, the Caen and Saint-Malo ferry ports are a comfortable day’s drive.
