With 11 bedrooms sleeping up to 26 guests, three lakes, sculpted woodland, and centuries of history — Forge isn’t just a holiday rental. It’s an entire world, exclusively yours.

We offer exclusive use of our entire estate so that for the duration of your stay, Forge is completely, entirely yours.

Who owns and manages Forge in France?

Forge in France is owned and personally managed by Andrew and Sabina Murray-Playfair. Every enquiry and booking is handled directly by Sabina, ensuring a personal and attentive experience from first contact to departure.

What are the booking options at Forge?

You can book Playfair House independently for groups of up to 14 guests in 7 bedrooms, or book the full Domaine de Forge — which includes Playfair House — for groups of up to 26 guests in 11 bedrooms. Both options are exclusive use.

Is Forge suitable for guests with limited mobility?

We are happy to discuss the specific needs of your group before booking. Please contact Sabina directly to talk through accessibility requirements and how we can best accommodate all members of your party.

How do I make a booking enquiry?

What is the best time of year to visit Forge?

Forge is available year-round. Summer offers warm weather perfect for outdoor activities, boating on the lakes, and the pool. Autumn brings beautiful colours to the woodland and parkland. Winter stays are cosy and intimate with the library fire and hot tub coming into their own.
