Art Among the Trees
Scattered through 50 hectares of gardens and woodland, a collection of sculptures gathered from around the world. Stone, bronze, and weathered wood — pieces that feel as though they’ve always been here.
THE SCULPTURE WALK
Discovering Art in the Landscape
As evening falls, the garden takes on a different character. Sculptures become silhouettes, the pavilion glows in the distance, and the estate feels entirely yours.
A Buddha sits quietly among the long grass, slowly being reclaimed by moss and lichen. He’s been here long enough to belong.
The bronze stag stands at the edge of the parkland, alert and still. At a distance, guests sometimes mistake him for the real thing.
The stained glass pavilion — part artwork, part shelter — glows from within as night falls. Foo dog guardians keep watch at its base.
Winter nights on the estate. The moon catches the bare branches and the mist rises from the fields beyond.
An Egyptian sphinx perches on a rocky outcrop, weathered to a beautiful verdigris. One of the most unexpected discoveries on the estate.
Ganesh — the remover of obstacles — sits serenely in a rocky grotto, draped in moss and fern. Guests often find him without being told where to look.
A carved gateway flanked by cypress trees marks the entrance to the sculpture walk. The faces on the pillars have watched over this path for decades.
